The Role
Overview
Install, program, and maintain commercial security, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required. -Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security. -Assists in monitoring project execution per plan. Reports problems or changes to supervisor or management. -Completes paperwork and on-site documentation as required. -Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls. -Performs self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and application. -Will train apprentices as required. -Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor. -May manage installation teams on larger projects. -Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris. -Maintains appropriate local and National Fire / Security Industry Certifications. -Coach and mentor less experienced installers. -Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule. -Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Continuous proactive customer interactions including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs wants and systems currently in place. -Adheres to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. -Test’s operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.

What You Bring
-Electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude. -Able to explain technical information to non-technical people. -Ability to stand, kneel, drive for extended periods of time. -Ability to operate hand and power tools. -Must have State of Maine Master Limited Energy License -Massachusetts Class D License -No Color Blindness -Ability to accurately read a tape measure. -Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings. -Advanced computer skills required. -Valid Driver’s license with a clean record. -Attention to detail. -Experience bending conduit. -A Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Test is Required. -NICET II Certification. -Access Control certifications. -Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner. -Travel is required – MA, NH and Maine – some overnight and weekends may be required with notice -Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service. -Must have a minimum of 5 Years Commercial Installation experience. -Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures. -CCTV certifications. -Travel required, using provided company vehicle and equipment.
