Tasks

-Adhere to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy -Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees -Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency -Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information as needed -Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property -Escort guests to their tables and provide menus -Adhere to departmental policies and procedures -Assist in seating Members and guests according to seating chart or guest preferences -Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival -Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook -Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area -Manage waitlist during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates -Be courteous to all guests and coworkers

What You Bring

-Must have effective communication skills -Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English -Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments -Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire -Practice effective listening: (seek to understand) -Some College experience or Degree recommended -Previous bartending experience in a professional setting is preferred -Ability to implement and uphold service standards -Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort -High School Diploma or GED recommended -Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations -Passionate and has a knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers -Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time -Ability to work weekends, Holidays, etc. -Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at their respective outlet -Must have a current Food Handlers card
