Subcontracts Specialist

Description

• Conduct commercial and contractual evaluations of subcontractor proposals.
• Maintain accurate records of subcontract documentation and correspondence.
• Support audits, close-out activities, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Project, Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure proper alignment and risk mitigation.
• Draft, review, and finalize subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with project and corporate requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
• Ensure all subcontract activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) and ethical standards.
• Administer and manage subcontracts during execution, including change orders, claims, and variations.
• Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and invitations to bid for subcontracted services.
• Participate in negotiations with subcontractors to achieve the best technical and commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and subcontracting principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface across disciplines.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently under tight project schedules.
• Prior experience with offshore fabrication yards or major EPC contractors.
• Experience in managing lump sum, reimbursable, and unit rate subcontracts.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in subcontract management, preferably within the oil & gas / FPSO / EPC environment.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, LOGIC, or bespoke contract forms.
• Proficient in MS Office and contract management systems.
