Tasks

-Inspect and test completed repairs to verify safe and reliable operation. -Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on foreman trucks, service vans, and light-duty fleet vehicles, including oil changes, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems. -Diagnose and repair small tools and shop-managed equipment, including generators, compressors, compactors, pressure washers, saws, jackhammers, and power tools. -Support parts identification, ordering, and inventory management to maintain shop readiness. -Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for all company on-road assets. -Coordinate with the Service Manager, Dispatcher, and Logistics team to manage repair schedules and shop priorities. -Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records in the company’s systems (e.g., B2W Maintain, CE, or equivalent). -Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. -Perform light fabrication or welding (MIG or Stick) when needed for repairs or modifications. -Assist with vehicle registration, inspections, and documentation required for DOT compliance. -Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

-Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a fast-paced shop environment. -Understanding of shop safety protocols, PPE use, and OSHA compliance. -Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery. -Knowledge of DOT inspection standards and vehicle maintenance regulations. -Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record (Class A license preferred but not required). -Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred. -High School Diploma or GED preferred. -3–5 years of experience maintaining and repairing light-duty trucks, service vehicles, and small construction tools preferred. -Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents. -Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail. -Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
