Tasks

-Track and control all energy sources, maintaining accurate logs and permits. -Manage installation, maintenance, and inspection of temporary power systems. -Maintain accurate documentation of LOTO events, inspections, and incidents. -Train and mentor field staff on energy control best practices. -Act as the single point of contact for energy isolation and re-energization activities. -Recommend improvements to energy management processes. -Develop, implement, and monitor Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures across the project site. -Communicate potential hazards, risks, and solutions clearly to all stakeholders. -Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety policies. -Participate in audits, inspections, and safety meetings. -Provide daily briefings or updates related to energy control and power system status. -Stay current with evolving codes, standards, and industry best practices. -Oversight of Temporary & Permanent Power -Verify that all electrical systems are properly de-energized before work begins and safely restored once completed. -Serve as the liaison between project management, field crews, and safety teams for energy-related activities. -Coordinate with electrical crews to ensure safe energization and de-energization during construction phases.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and energy isolation practices. -Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, and NEC requirements. -Ability to foster effective relationships with teams and stakeholders. -Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent electrical experience) required. -5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction. -Experience as a Safety Officer, Foreman, or Superintendent in electrical construction. -Training certifications in NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or equivalent. -Regular standing, walking, bending, and use of PPE required. -Safety-first mindset with strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. -Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions. -Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed. -Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills. -Prior experience on large commercial or industrial projects. -Proven ability to implement and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
