Tasks

-Oversee the project cost model, estimate, and budget; and influence design to optimize cost. -Build and maintain key personal working relationships with key trade partner organizations at the executive or management level. -Work with the Operations Manager, Project Manager & Safety Manager to develop a strong and proactive site safety program meeting the needs of the company, owner, and the project. -Identify, mentor, and encourage additional owner, engineer, and subcontractors’ relationships to ensure that those teams remain connected at all levels. -Organize project diversity and inclusion in both trade partner participation as well as project staffing both office and field. -Provide vision to ensure that the project pursuit, as well as the project itself, has the proper operational strategies and systems in place to achieve the desired expectations. -Ensure use of the Boldt Production System (BPS) philosophy, tools, and tracking. -Guide the planning process to develop the project approach. -Build and maintain key personal working relationships with the architectural and engineering teams. -Ensure use of the Project Start-up Planner including updates and maintenance. -Work collaboratively with Boldt’s legal group on risk evaluation and contract negotiations. -Collaborate with the project team to develop and execute win strategies as well as implement plans for the operational infrastructure, processes and personnel designed around delivering the project objectives. -Champion and encourage the use and implementation of the best Integrated Lean Project Delivery practices from within and outside of the company. -Continuously review operating performance against plans and prior periods, including current progress towards the project target, current production, forecasted cost at completion, contracting status, operating expenses, cash flow management, and profitability. -Maintain and enforce the highest standard of personal and business ethics. -Develop, maintain, and uphold the highest level of professionalism in all interactions, communications, and publications. -Appraise performance and development of team, holding them accountable to position responsibilities, and established goals. -Lead by example through hands-on safety engagement with team. -Build and maintain key personal working relationships with the owner(s). -Identify and recognize the need for additional products and service offerings that align with the customer’s needs and provides creative solutions. -Encourage, embrace, and promote advancements in safety systems and culture. -Deliver project results with an emphasis on client satisfaction, project schedules, budgets and margins, drives operating performance through process improvement and project management. -Participate in pursuit and acquisition of project work on a local (or national) basis supporting the business development and marketing team, leading preconstruction, and construction strategy of the pursuit. -Lead the process of selecting the internal supporting team and trade partners for the project. -Ensure a disciplined and comprehensive project milestone schedule is in place and monitor regularly. -Develop and foster strong relationships with clients, trade partners, architects and engineers through networking activities and events. -Provide vision to ensure that the project pursuit, as well as the project itself, has the proper operational strategies and systems in place to achieve the desired expectations: -Establish operational initiatives to improve the delivery of projects in all areas of design, schedule, quality, cost, safety, and delivery methods.

What You Bring

-Four-year engineering degree, preferably in construction management or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. -A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes -Extensive (fifteen or more years) experience in similar data center construction and related functions plus the willingness to learn and continuously improve processes are required. -Excellent organizational, supervisory, and decision-making/problem-solving skills are essential. -Advanced management or technical training preferred. -Proficiency in 0365 office suite.
