Associate Civil/Structural Designer

Entry-level civil/structural designer drafting 2D/3D drawings under supervision.

Tasks

-Assist in the preparation of detail drawings and deliverables of high technical quality and consistent presentation ensuring clarity and ease of construction -Provide drafting support as required -3D drafting and/or model creation -Develop 3D Models -2D drafting -Develop basic technical skills to complete assigned work -Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with McDermott requirements, Client and Statutory Design Codes, Standards, or Procedures with a particular focus on Health and Safety Policies -Prepare Civil and Structural layouts from data generated by others, in close liaison with Civil and Structural Engineers and counterparts from other disciplines -Become fully familiar with the Project Scope of Work, specifications, schedule, and inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address them

What You Bring

-Entry level to less than 3 years drafting and/or design -Proactive and willing to learn -Basis of E3D and/or S3D -Gain experience in the following work areas: Design 2D drafting 3D drafting and/or model creation Develop basic technical skills to complete assigned work -Knowledge of 2D (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) drafting systems and other drafting software -High School graduate with a diploma in Civil or Structural disciplines or equivalent experience -Familiarity with 3D design systems E3D or S3D would be an advantage
