Overview
Oversee P2P cycle & finance for operations and Rook I project in Saskatoon.

Tasks
-Perform reconciliations regularly and in a timely manner to provide management with accurate financial information for decision-making purposes. -Manage all costs related to the operations of the Company, including the Rook I Project, exploration, site services, permitting, engagement, and community-related expenditures. -Supervise and coach team members in matters related to cash management and P2P processes, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and operational requirements. -Applies specialized knowledge in own area of expertise and openly shares information and knowledge with others. -Lead budget and re-forecast processes along with Corporate Controller. -Serve as finance representative in the approval process for procurement requests, ensuring that purchases are within budget limits and comply with financial policies. -Effectively builds rapport and appropriately delivers information (oral and written) in a timely, well-organized, thoughtful, and engaging manner. -Maintains quality and safety standards to ensure NexGen's Elite Standards are met across all work streams. -Handle accruals and ensure financial records accuracy. -Monitor budgets versus actuals, providing timely insights and variance analysis. -Lead continuous improvement in automation of certain tasks and functions in ERP as well as streamlining the P2P process. -Plans, manages and follows through to ensure the flow and timely completion of activities to deliver successful work results. -Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure that there are sufficient funds available for making payments on time and in full. -Work closely with the Rook I Project engineering team on project controls, including cash management and the P2P process. -Work closely with Procurement department to support them in managing vendor relationships and optimizing procurement strategies for cost-effectiveness. -Oversee the entire P2P process, ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures. -Serve as the representative for the finance department when senior management is unavailable, showcasing strong leadership and adept problem-solving skills. -Ensure that procurement activities comply with internal financial controls, policies, and external regulations. This includes managing risks associated with procurement activities. -Ensure that payments are accurately recorded and reconciled with financial records, such as invoices and account statements. -Act as the primary liaison for finance and a key business partner in Saskatoon, working closely with Operations to offer financial insights and facilitate decision-making. -Identify and monitor relevant key performance matrix for the P2P process in a timely manner. -Ensure seamless integration and coordination between finance and project operations, fostering a cohesive working environment. -Communicates in an open candid and consistent manner with impact to inform, enroll, coach, and inspire. -Provides clear and informative explanations to support effective decisions in line with company objectives. -Act as a key contributor for future system implementation/augmentation.

What You Bring
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate and provide coordination across multiple disciplines. -Strong digital literacy using the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software. -Knowledge of SOX compliance and financial reporting standards. -Able to identify, articulate and problem solve for complex situations with consideration for outcomes. -Uses creative, conceptual, and/or inductive reasoning. -Working knowledge of quality or integrated management systems. -Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. -Proven experience (7 years at minimum) in financial management, preferably in project accounting or operations finance. -Strong understanding of Procurement-to-Payment processes and best practices. -SAP experiences not required but preferred. -Maintains effective and professional approach, demonstrating resilience and accountability in a fluid fast paced work environment.
