Tasks

-Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop creative solutions that meet their requirements. -Serve as the lead engineer on projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to the project team. -Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, helping them to develop their technical and professional skills. -Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations. -Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

What You Bring

-Professional Engineer (PE) license required. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. -Strong problem-solving skills. -Familiarity with construction and safety practices and willingness to go on site. -Teachable and eager to develop professionally. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Knowledge of industry standards and codes, including ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and IBC. -Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering. -Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision. -Proficiency with drafting software, BIM modeling, and structural design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, EnerCalc, etc.). -Experience with design of various types of structures including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. -Conscientious and detail-oriented. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate well using both technical and non-technical language. -Strong project management skills.
