Tasks

We’re looking for a High Voltage Technician to commission, test and maintain HV equipment across major infrastructure and energy projects. You’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality delivery. Trusted by clients in renewables, resources, transmission, transport, water, manufacturing and heavy industry, our teams work from Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Adelaide, Devonport and Perth, delivering construction-ready solutions that meet the highest safety and performance standards. -Field service, inspections, maintenance and repairs across Solar/BESS and HV/LV/MV systems -Interpret schematics and protection settings -Collaborate with site teams to resolve technical issues -Commissioning and functional testing of HV equipment (switchgear, transformers, relays) -Ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards and WHS requirements -Prepare commissioning reports and documentation

What You Bring

This role can be based in Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney or Brisbane, with travel across VIC, NSW and QLD. Highly Desirable If you thrive on complex HV projects and want to help shape Australia’s energy and infrastructure future, we’d love to hear from you. -Strong knowledge of protection systems, SCADA and HV apparatus -Solar, wind or BESS experience -Relay testing (e.g., Omicron) -3–5+ years HV commissioning/testing experience -Insulation, primary/secondary injection and relay testing -HV switching certification -Electrical Licence -Experience with test equipment/software -Ability to travel + full Driver’s Licence -Familiarity with Australian standards and WHS
