Lead construction inspector overseeing highway, bridge, and rail projects in CT.

Tasks

-Provide solutions to construction-related issues. -Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. -Participate in meetings and ensure the field staff is conforming to all health and safety standards. -Assign and supervise construction inspection team members. -Communicate with contractor's foreman and supervisors regarding work schedules and work operations. -Keep the Resident Engineer informed of field construction operations. -Review and check inspector's daily work reports for correctness and accuracy. -Monitor and document all contractor construction activities.

What You Bring

-NICET IV or acceptable equivalent ASCE grade -Minimum 11 years of acceptable inspection experience. -Engineer-in-Training certification -High School Diploma -Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and harassment policies. -Specific experience with CTDOT construction projects that include highways, bridges, rail, and other transportation related type projects. -OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification -Strong oral and written communication skills of technical documents. -Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. -Certified Construction Manager (CCM) -Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Construction Management -Professional Engineers license
