Your impact will centre on growth and relationships: strengthening our national design profile, building deep partnerships, opening new market pathways, and positioning our studios for the next decade of opportunity. You’ll unite teams around a clear design ambition, nurture talent, elevate storytelling, and leverage GHD’s integrated capability to win the projects that genuinely shape cities and communities. Lead GHD Design as our Design Practice Leader — grow our client and external profile, steer our design strategy, strengthen market partnerships, and bring the presence and energy to elevate our capability across Australia. Reporting to the Australian Market Leader for Property and Buildings, you will champion strategic growth that aligns with GHD’s global and APAC vision while leveraging the unique strengths of our local markets and leading a talented team of design leaders, business group heads, and senior professionals. -Ensure GHD remains a market and technical leader in the design of the built environment. -Spearhead business development and client engagement across the P&B sector including identifying major project opportunities and the conversion of key pursuits. -Build and nurture a powerful network of internal experts and strategic external partners. -Drive collaboration with the P&B teams across the APAC Region, building strong bonds with respective Market Leaders

This role suits a leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys navigating large organisations, and sees scale as an advantage — not a barrier. Someone who can bring energy, clarity and market confidence to a practice that’s already performing well and hungry for more. -Registered Architect -Market facing and with an established network with engagement of clients across a range of sub-sectors -A proven track record in agile leadership and business growth. -Recognised nationally and/or internationally as a professional leader providing distinctive competence in large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects -Extensive consulting and work-winning experience in the built environment.
