Tasks

The Office Manager is responsible for managing and leading both technical and non-technical duties for an engineering consulting office. This includes personnel supervision, financial management, employee supervision, proposal and project management, quality control, safety duties, client relations and development, and new business development. Responsible for project and office equipment, utilization of office personnel. Participate in management meetings, prepares, reviews, and approves cost estimates, and develop and/ or review all contracts and proposals prepared by the office, verify technical and financial necessities. Will work with HR and Divisions VP to hire and train new talent. The Office Manager will also work directly with technical department manager to support operations of the office. -Work with division VP to oversee start-up operation of a geotechnical, materials testing, and environmental office for a national firm. -Wors with Division VPs to help manage and guide business development efforts. -Personnel management, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, salary administration, discipline, termination. -Responsible for project and office financials. -Risk Management, including contract review, adherence to corporate risk policies and practices, communicating safety initiatives, rules and guidelines for the office. -Review proposals, contracts, and technical reports prepared by office personnel. -Determining staffing needs and hiring qualified personnel. -Ensure best practices are being followed and upholding for quality standards.

What You Bring

-Certification or licensure in field of expertise -Valid driver's license -Prior management experience. -Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years of experience.
