The Role

Overview

Lead and deliver climate resilience projects, overseeing design, construction, and client relations.

Tasks

-Function as primary contact with client for all project matters. -Overall management and responsibility for technical and financial delivery of resiliency projects throughout the full project lifecycle. -Development and execution of scope, staffing, schedule, and budget and management of multi-discipline teams including AECOM and subcontractor staff. -Coordinate and engage with local, state, and federal agencies, project stakeholders, and community groups to gain consensus and approvals as required. -Author and review technical reports/memorandums. -Manage, mentor, and train junior and mid-level staff. -Participate on new business proposals with technical and marketing teams. -Lead and guide project team on engineering planning, analysis, design, and construction work, primary focused on extreme weather adaptation, coastal flood risk reduction, sea level rise, stormwater management, and green infrastructure, including both nature-based and hard infrastructure solutions.

What You Bring

-Experience with business development, strategic planning and/or proposal preparation. -Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design development, as well as construction, including drawings, specifications, cost estimating, and scheduling. -10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. -PE in NY and/or NJ or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire. -Experience with resilient and/or climate adaptation planning and design, climate hazard/risk assessments and/or water resources infrastructure projects. -Experience with or oversight of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling using various software programs such as MIKE-21, InfoWorks, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, etc. -Other relevant certifications such as CFM or DBIA. -Strong business acumen, as well as written and verbal communication skills. -Demonstrated experience managing complex consulting engineering projects, minimum $5M fee, including leading technical teams and coordinating with clients. -Experience with federal, state, and local regulatory permitting and stakeholder/community engagement. -Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. -Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -BA/BS in Civil, Water Resources or Coastal Engineering + 6 Years of Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience.
