Overview

Analyze and appeal eBilling deductions to recover revenue and ensure compliance.

Tasks

-Own the invoice appeal process, report on successful resubmissions and payments, and provide weekly progress updates to Management, ensuring transparency and measurable impact on recovered revenue. -Participate in eBilling process improvement projects, such as streamlining workflows, implementing new technologies, enhancing compliance procedures, and developing best practices to increase efficiency and revenue recovery. -Collaborate with attorneys and billing teams to clarify entries and improve compliance, supporting ongoing revenue protection. -Review invoice-level deductions and analyze reduced time entries against Client Outside Counsel Guidelines to identify appeal opportunities and maximize revenue recovery. -Submit and track appeals, follow up with client billing contacts, and resolve disputes to secure payment for previously reduced time. -Support timekeeper rates submission projects, especially during yearly rate increases, to meet client deadlines and ensure compliance.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of Outside Counsel Guidelines and eBilling process compliance. -Proven success in appealing rejected time entries and recovering revenue. -Experience using law firm billing platform 3E and eBilling software BillBlast. -Five or more years of experience in the billing/eBilling legal field at a mid-size or large law firm. -3–5 years in legal billing, focused eBilling compliance operations. -Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills. -Knowledge of best practices in eBilling process compliance. -Familiarity with major eBilling vendor platforms and a strong understanding of their invoice appeal processes and available tools. -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
