Develop plumbing and fire protection designs for mission‑critical data center projects.

Tasks
-Coordinate with other internal engineering disciplines to achieve successful, functional and innovative designs for our clients. -Coordinate with other building disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent. -Development of Plumbing and Fire Protection Construction documents (drawings, specifications. calculations. etc.) using computer software for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment for review by Sr. Engineer. -Performs and oversees the performance of calculations using company standard software, and proprietary manufacturer software. -Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. -Assists with the development of job specific discipline specifications. -Ensure project timelines are met, and project stays within budget -Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications for review by Sr. Engineer -Perform field survey to document existing conditions and/or observation of construction activities. -Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors -Preparation of Contract Documents using Revit and AutoCAD software.

What You Bring
-Working knowledge of building, plumbing and fire codes. -Ability to communicate effectively and clearly -A sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals. -Experience with design of Plumbing and Fire protection systems in mission critical facilities. -Strong computer skills and skilled in software typically used in plumbing/fire protection design (i,e. hydraulic calculations). -5+ years’ experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems, Mission Critical design experience a plus -Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs; Revit Experience is a must. -Able to travel (Light travel for project meetings/site observations). -EIT/PE a plus -Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements -Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Excellent organization and planning skills.
