The Role

Overview

Assist commercial team with budgets, procurement, valuations and contract admin on large projects.

Tasks

You’ll support the commercial management of live construction projects, assisting in cost control, procurement, valuations, and contract administration. Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and project delivery team, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. -Support project teams in managing risk, change control, and contractual compliance -Support procurement and subcontractor management, including tendering and negotiation -Monitor project costs and provide accurate financial reporting -Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts -Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows -Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and subcontractors -Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency within the commercial function

What You Bring

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Good understanding of JCT or NEC forms of contract -Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environment -Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline -Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
