Service Technician (Diesel)

Overview

Maintain and service diesel & gas generators, chillers, AC and cooling towers in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Perform mechanical servicing activities and general equipment maintenance in line with operating procedures and work instructions including A & B service, green carding / post contract assessment & pre-delivery inspection, engine fault finding / repair and preventative maintenance. -Ensure the completion of equipment repairs is on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets. -Respond effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.

What You Bring

-Excellent verbal communication -Experience in Troubleshooting/Diagnosis/Repair/Assembly of Diesel Generators -Experience in a heavy engineering environment preferably with a strong knowledge of Service and repair methods with experience of assembling mechanical systems. -Able to work under pressure and deliver tasks on time, to a high level of quality and accuracy, with strong attention to detail. -Experience of working on electrical fitting/wiring would be advantage -Understand and interpret engineering drawings. -Use of air tools, hand tools, torque tools, overhead cranes, lifting and slinging equipment and measuring equipment -Able to travel within short notice -Diploma or Higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electro- Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering -Min 3 Years Experience Working in Diesel Engines and generators.
