The Role

Overview

Design and lead water resources civil engineering projects

Tasks

-Develop and work within budget and schedule. -Lead or assist with preparation of construction documents. -Work with junior, mid-level, and senior engineers of various disciplines to complete engineering assignments. -Mentor junior staff. -Prepare plan drawings, technical specifications, design documentation reports, bid quantities, and construction cost estimates. -Modify plan drawings and coordinate with AutoCAD Drafters and Civil3D Designers. May be required to prepare designs in AutoCAD and/or Civil3D. -Develop unique solutions to solve problems encountered during design. -Perform site visits to confirm field conditions. Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidance.

What You Bring

-Field experience related to civil construction -Professional Engineer (PE) license -Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task -Previous experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects -Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results -Minimum 4 years relevant experience -Ability to handle multiple assignments -Experience related to water resources projects -Professional registration/license (PE) in the State of California -Strong communication and listening skills -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
