The Role

Overview

Lead engineer for highway/roadway design, studies, QC and client solutions in New England.

Tasks

-Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts. -Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects. -Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. -Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. -Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. -Develops construction cost estimates. -Presents complex technical solutions to clients. -Participates in development of technical proposals. -Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects. -Participate in professional organizations representing the company.

What You Bring

-Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain reciprocity for the New England states within twelve months if not currently registered in the required states. -Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in New England (must include some MassDOT, CTDOT, and/or RIDOT project experience). -Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility. -Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad and Civil 3D. -Able to assist in proposals and presentations. -Excellent written and oral communications skills. -Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. -Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required. -BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Approves and signs off on work. -Experience preparing technical specifications.
