The Role

Overview

Oversee multi‑discipline engineering design, drafting, cost & resource coordination for proposals.

Tasks

-Develop and contribute to benchmarking of completed projects, studies and previous proposals for reference. -Participate in review process and meetings and understand the strategy and themes provided by others. -Preparation of man-hour budgets and design schedules to complete Study / EPCM estimates, in line with resource requirements. -Participate in senior management resource reviews. -Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers. -Manage multiple tasks and prioritize where necessary to achieve agreed deliverables to a high level of accuracy and professionalism. -Coordination of Engineering / Drafting Proposal workflow and expediting close outs of internal man-hour estimate reviews for incorporation in the overall resource estimate. -Coordinate the Engineering / Drafting inputs for the scope of design deliverables in accordance with established project contracting strategies and design work methods. -Identify scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly. -Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback provided by subject matter experts. -Validate that the disciplines are providing adequate staffing, supervising personnel and managing to the approved budget, scope and schedule for all design related areas. -Proactively support other team members as required to ensure deliverables are met. -Management of and responsibility for multi-discipline design and drafting resources assigned to provide inputs. Inputs include technical write-ups, man-hour estimates and resources estimating. -Monitor the progress of the Engineering and Design team and provide feedback and support where necessary. -As an outcome of coordination meetings, assist in preparing actions lists and decision logs. Assist in closing actions as required. -Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations. -Participate in kick-off meetings, ongoing coordination and expediting related to multi-discipline engineering / drafting inputs.

What You Bring

-Experience in Mineral Processing or Metallurgical plant design. -University Degree in Engineering or the equivalent from a recognised institution. -Good business acumen and demonstrated success influencing stakeholders internally and clients alike. -Minimum 8+ years post graduate experience in engineering consultancy in engineering and / or project delivery roles -Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units, supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Solid technical aptitude, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills. -Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise to a high standard of accuracy and professionalism. -Ability to work with people at all levels within an organisation and external providers.
