Tasks

-Manage the development of audit plans for key asset management activities within civil engineering. -Identify non-compliances against civil standards and engage stakeholders in formulating corrective actions to prevent recurrence. -Provide input to the development of the national framework for civil assurance. -Provide technical advice on standards and procedures to other members of the Asset Management B&C team -Manage the tracking of all route specific safety recommendations arising from internal and external incident investigations. -Input to the development of data analysis work to establish emerging trends in lead indicators as precursor to asset failure. Undertake subsequent analysis work. -Provide input to the selection of audit topics and creation of audit rationale. -Contribute to development of national standards, procedures and training modules. -Input to investigations into failures that affect the safety and condition of assets.Assist with the management of actions to mitigate the risks of recurrence. -Support the monitoring of civil compliance indicators to assess compliance to civil engineering standards and initiate of follow up actions.

What You Bring

-An understanding of the fundamentals of information architecture and data management strategies and techniques -Member of a relevant professional institution -Experience in data management, databases and information management working with large data sets -Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer -Experience with software such as MS Access, Power BI, coding, and cloud based apps such as Salesforce. -HNC/HND or equivalent qualification or experience in Civil or Structural Engineering -Experience in preparing reports and data visualisations -Degree in a relevant subject -Good knowledge of technical, safety and condition standards relating to the civil engineering assets -Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution
