The Role

Overview

Operate and monitor battery formation equipment, ensure quality and safety in Li‑ion cell production

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Perform quality visual inspection protocols to identify defective cells -Load and unload cells into fixtures to enable formation of the required products -Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment. Report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S and LEAN manufacturing principles -Monitoring tool’s operation to ensure quality of product is maintained -Record equipment related issues and alert facility manager or a process engineer

What You Bring

-Minimum of 2 year of experience using various PLC/HMI controls -Minimum of 2 Experience and skill using computers in the factory environment for automation, analysis and communication - including email, web applications and Microsoft Office suite. -Minimum of 2 years of battery formation and/or testing experience -Knowledge of Lithium-ion Testing Standards -Understanding of Batteries and how they’re assembled -Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. -Ability to foster a professional work environment that instills trust and confidence among reports, peers and supporting organizations. -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. -Experience with Siemens HMI -Previous leadership/supervision experience -Experience implementing new automation -Experience running/Controlling formation equipment is a big Plus -Knowledge of UN Testing Standards -Control system experience is a big plus. -Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing facility -Ability and willingness to alter schedule as needed for in support of training, coverage and off-shift meetings -Minimum of 2 year of experience with operation of ARBIN or MACCOR testers
