Tasks

-Develop relationships and collaboratively partner with internal stakeholders to assess legal and business risks and support the implementation of suitable mitigation remedies -Examine contracts involving design and construction projects, leases, insurance, corporate governance etc. -Provide legal advice to the organization -Work closely with other departments to foresee and protect company against legal risks -Prepare reports, guidelines and participates in the management of legal actions -Manage projects successfully to completion -Reviews various agreements and documents

What You Bring

-Capable of managing multiple projects at a time and successfully to completion. -Minimum of five years of legal experience, preferably in a engineering and construction law practice or corporate legal department for same. -Service oriented mindset. -Demonstrated growth in leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams, take initiative in complex legal matters, mentor colleagues, and contribute to strategic decision-making. -Excellent presentation skills -Team player with good business acumen and problem-solving skills -Willing to travel 15 to 20 percent. -Ability to research and provide guidance on compliance related issues throughout the company -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint) -Experience with the preparation, review, and negotiation of design and construction contracts -Juris Doctor Degree, licensed to practice law in applicable state(s) -Experience with managing and resolving engineering and construction disputes and litigation -Excellent writing, communication and problem-solving skills
