Writing factual and interpretative reports including Desk Studies for environmental and/or geotechnical purposes in line with national standards and codes of practice
Establishing and developing strong working relationships with new and existing clients, which is integral to the growth of the Geosciences Scotland team and the wider business
Designing, managing and supervising a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within RSK
Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
Preparing health, safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) documentation in line with RSK and client requirements
Supporting tender managers in preparing fee proposals.

A further post-graduate qualification in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical would be desirable but is not essential.
Rock core logging capabilities is advantageous but not essential.
Full UK driving licence essential.
BSc or BEng degree level qualified in Geology (or Earth Science), Geotechnical, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related subject essential.
Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise workload for independent and team working.
Registered with a suitable professional body and working towards Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g. Geol Soc/ICE).
At least 5 years previous relevant work experience.
Hold a CSCS card, SMSTS advantageous.
Skilled with Microsoft Office applications in particular Word and Excel.
Good knowledge of best health and safety practice and the CDM Regulations would be an advantage.
