Tasks
❖ Participate in client meetings such as proposal, progress and completion meetings when necessary. ❖ Analyze surveys of lay out installations or established reference points, grades, or elevations to guide construction. ❖ Implement design process and procedures so the department is organized and runs efficiently. ❖ Approve load and grade requirements, material stress factors and any other factors that determine design specifications. ❖ Partner with Marketing Director to prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, or property and right-of-way descriptions. ❖ Provide technical expertise to direct and indirect personnel regarding design, construction, or structural repairs. ❖ Direct the progress of project sites and ensure the site adheres to design specifications and safety standards. ❖ Periodically visit project sites to ensure design specifications and standards are met and handle any concerns. ❖ Review tests such as soil, material, strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel. ❖ Approve the designs of new builds and older structures to ensure safety and longevity and ensure the designs are energy efficient or environmentally sound structures. ❖ Ensure quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor are in line with project budget.

What You Bring
❖ NY/NJ Professional Engineer (PE) is required. ❖ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and the coordination of people and resources. ❖ 10 years related experience in A/E/C industry. This position requires travel (less than 50%). ❖ Extremely organized and detailed oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests in a growing company environment. ❖ Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in Civil Engineering. ❖ Expertise of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. ❖ Proficiency with AutoCAD software and other structural design software. ❖ Knowledge of Microsoft Office. ❖ Strong understanding of building codes, government regulations, OSHA regulations and safety procedures. ❖ Highly analytical with the ability to calculate complex mathematical equations.
