Survey Technician - Surveying

Overview

Prepare boundary and topographic survey data, create maps, and support construction projects.

Tasks

-Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps -Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans -Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information -Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes -Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data

What You Bring

-5+ years of survey experience -Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients -CADD experience is required and TxDOT experience is a plus -Strong communication skills both oral and written -Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs -Surveyor-in-Training certification by Arizona Board of Land Surveying, or -Level II Certified Survey Technician certification
