The planner/scheduler will be assigned to the project full-time, taking direction from the assigned project supervisor with GBU functional oversight for processes and procedures. This role performs construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities with a focus on the Downstream area. Responsible for scheduling and planning activities for large or major projects with significant non-routine requirements; discipline/project/integrated project scheduling activities, including potential interface with owner and other design contractors/vendors, that require a high degree of technical skill and experience. Supports/performs 90-day lookahead (Work Front Analysis) and 3WKLA (3-week lookahead) schedule activities for their respective area, plus progress variance assessments.
Responsible for Sub-Contractors Schedule activities integration into the Project Master Schedule.
Identifies construction schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-disciplinary or functional restraints and interfaces.
Evaluates study results and recommends conclusions for project team consideration and discussion.
Reviews design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness, and coordinates with the project to develop additional estimating bases when information is incomplete.
Performs productivity analysis of construction operations and verifies.
Identifies restraints and their effect on the schedule.
Conducts schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities.
Responsible for Construction Schedule monitoring, 3-week look-ahead reviews, monthly updates, and reporting.
Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility.
Reviews and evaluates schedule durations for all disciplines’ activities relative to the support of project milestones.
Participates in schedule resource loading and leveling for assigned scope.
Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance.

Experience and strong knowledge of schedule development and administration, as well as training of technical and non-technical personnel on scheduling requirements.
Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by client (with focus on construction and typical interfaces).
Professional experience in the field and home office performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.
Knowledge of engineering and procurement is customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
Analytical approach to problem solving.
Proficiency with client Project Controls scheduling operating systems (e.g., P6, MS Office applications) and with proficiency in several basic client standard application programs.
Skilled in oral and written communication, including direct interface with client project team members, owner, and potential design contractors/vendors.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling issues which may arise. Provides generally non-routine scheduling guidance and assistance to the project. This position is required to be a well-organized 'people' person with strong verbal and written communication skills. They will be able to help drive the project team members, create a focus for the team on planning/scheduling, forecasting/lookaheads, and helping to develop workarounds when appropriate. This site-based position will be located in Winnemucca, Nevada. Single-status, Workforce Hub (Camp) housing is provided, and bussing to/from the Thacker Pass Site is provided/available.
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
