Tasks

-Champion environmental and sustainability standards throughout operations. -Direct supervisory responsibility including the to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline or effectively recommend such actions. -Lead inspections and final approvals for defect resolution and regulatory compliance. -Supervise daily mechanical maintenance across train systems and facilities to ensure operational efficiency. -Monitor facility conditions and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and expansion projects. -Guarantee timely train readiness and departures from maintenance hubs. -Analyze operational data to identify trends and inform strategic improvements. -Conduct safety briefings and enforce adherence to SOPs and FRA regulations (Parts 217, 219, 229, 238, 243). -Document, prioritize, and resolve defects through contractor coordination and inspections. -Manage and mentor technicians and contractors across multiple sites. -Lead cross-functional initiatives and support facility expansion efforts. -Support incident response and maintain operational continuity during disruptions. -Monitor internal communication channels to ensure timely updates and organizational alignment. -Deliver training, delegate tasks, and provide performance feedback to drive team excellence. -Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring audit preparedness and compliance. -Develop and distribute comprehensive reports for leadership and stakeholders.
