Tasks

-Manage your own projects -Develop and oversee structural engineering concepts and design philosophies -Visit sites to support development of structural engineering designs or review contract works in progress -Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings -Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team -Work as part of a team of Structural Engineers, frequently working with colleagues from other engineering disciplines, e.g. MEP, civils and geo-tech -Manage and undertake design work from concept through to detailed design ensuring technical excellence, always maintaining outstanding levels of client service -Communicate designs to team members and construction sites -Support leadership and development of the team of Structural Engineers, within the UK Healthcare Team -Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services -Act in the capacity of structural engineering project manager, to allocate resource appropriately and co-ordinate the tasks so all deadlines are met -Take an active role in technical groups and team meetings to support continuous improvement -Take ownership and deliver on team improvement initiatives

What You Bring

-The ability to manage multiple projects of varying size/complexity -Forward thinking about digital design innovation and ‘smart design’ in a digitised construction arena -Must have demonstratable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK -Experience of digital and parametric design -Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing -Knowledge of construction supervision, building investigation and structural testing -Able to work autonomously on all technical aspects of the discipline -Have achieved Chartered Engineer status or have qualifications to support achieving Chartered Engineer status -Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders -Knowledge of assessment, retrofit and alteration of existing structures -Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline -To have excellent project management skills
