The Role

Overview

Lead group financial reporting, tax compliance, audits, and acquisition accounting.

Tasks

-Accounting for senior debt and intercompany loans. -Responsible for the preparation of group consolidated and individual companies’ financial statements for audit, working with the management accounting team. -Responsible for ensuring all HMRC and foreign taxes are filed and paid on time. This includes but is not limited to; Corporation Tax, VAT, CIS, PSA, Social Security, Class 1A. -Ensuring accounting and tax legislation is followed and adhered to. -Key day to day contact for the external audit. -Assisting with the onboarding and integration of new acquisitions as required. -Implementing significant changes in accounting standards.

What You Bring

-The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified accountant, trained in Practice with a top 10 firm. -Technically strong, with experience of Group consolidations, acquisition accounting, tax and external audits. -Internal expert for accounting and tax queries from the wider finance team, leaning on external support where required. This includes accounting advice for projects. -Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. -Attention to detail – job requires being accurate in interpreting and challenging data. -Confident and comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders. -Independence - able to manage own workload with minimum supervision.
