Overview

Operate excavators for excavation, trenching, backfilling and site grading.

Tasks

-Support the rest of the crew with safe trenching and backfilling operations -Work closely with foreman and crew to meet project specs and deadlines -Lifting and Carrying Items weighing as much as 50 Lbs. -Support crews in all excavation environments -Shoveling, raking, sweeping, etc. -Use power tools -Perform maintenance on the machine such as greasing the machine each morning, keeping the cab clean, properly inspecting the equipment each shit. -Perform general laborer duties when equipment is not in use which include: -Be aware of the condition of the machine while operating and report any issues -Maintain safe working distances and proper slopes in trenching and excavation as required by OSHA standards

What You Bring

-Proven expert experience operating excavators in a variety of environments -Able to work safely around live utilities -Ability to read and follow grade stakes or verbal instruction for determining grade, excavation depth or position; GPS experience preferred. -Ability to perform basic maintenance and pre-checks on equipment -Standing and Walking -High school diploma or equivalent required -Valid driver’s license -Must follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE (hard hat, boots, hearing protection, etc.) -Comfortable working in adverse weather conditions
