The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair heavy construction machinery in Arctic remote site.

Tasks

-Perform welding, cutting, and/or drilling of metal as required to perform their duties; -Identify replacement parts in parts books for ordering purposes. -Perform diagnostics to detect breakdowns and malfunctions; -Disassemble, repair, and reassemble defective parts; -Work in a remote area on a fly-in/fly-out rotation with 30 days on site, 10 days at home; -Candidates are responsible for ensuring they obtain any work permits, visas, or other legal documents required for this position. -Test repaired equipment to ensure its works well; -Ensure periodic preventive maintenance; -Work in collaboration with construction sites and thus participate in achieving objectives and respecting project deadlines. -Evaluate the extent of the repairs to be carried out and plan the required time; -Issue recommendations for improvement or maintenance to optimize machinery;

What You Bring

-You must have the right to work in the country where the position is offered; -Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems; -Be able to operate and move machinery or vehicles as needed; -The masculine gender is used for text clarity, without prejudice to the feminine gender. -Compliant with occupational health and safety regulations; -Good physical ability and manual dexterity. -Minimum 5 years of experience in Similar duties; -DEP in construction machinery mechanics (experience can compensate for lack of training); -Travel, accommodation, and food (on-site cook) on the construction site are covered by the employer.
