Tasks

As we embark on a company-wide digital and data transformation, you will be a key architect in shaping our data future-designing, building, and optimizing high-performance analytics solutions that empower decision-making and operational excellence across the organization. -Create advanced analytics dashboards and self-service BI tools to empower business users. -Oversee data integration across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, financial, operations). -Ensure data security, scalability, and performance within the Azure ecosystem. -Drive adoption of advanced analytics, AI, and automation capabilities where appropriate. -Define and execute the company's data and analytics roadmap in alignment with business goals. -Stay current on emerging Microsoft technologies and BI best practices to continually evolve the company's data capabilities. -Partner with business and operations leaders to identify opportunities to use data for innovation and efficiency. -Work closely with IT, Finance, and Operations to translate business challenges into data-driven insights. -All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all safety guidelines at all times as an essential part of their job responsibilities. -Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, data models, and reporting frameworks. -Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of data engineers, analysts, and report developers. -Champion data governance, quality, and accessibility across the organization. -Design, build, and manage end-to-end data solutions leveraging Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Logic Apps, and the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

AAP/EEO STATEMENT We are seeking a hands-on, technically skilled Business Intelligence Manager (BI) to lead our growing data and analytics function. This role is ideal for a working manager who can both lead strategically and execute technically, leveraging the full suite of Microsoft Azure and Power Platform tools to transform how we manage, analyze, and act on data. Education and Work Experience Our ideal candidate is a proven leader, a strong communicator, and a collaborative partner who thrives in an agile, fast-paced environment. Experience in construction, paving, or heavy civil industries is a strong plus. -Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. -Strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds. -Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, SQL Server, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps. -Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs. -Knowledge of project management or operational data systems (e.g., fleet management, estimating, or ERP platforms). -Experience with data governance, API integrations, and ETL frameworks. -Proven success implementing BI and data solutions in Microsoft Azure and Power Platform environments. -Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen. -Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. -8+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics roles. -Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. -Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. -Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field. -3+ years in a leadership or management capacity, ideally in a small or mid-sized team. -Experience in construction, asphalt paving, or heavy civil industries. -Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
