BIM-VDC Coordinator

Overview

Create and coordinate BIM/VDC shop drawings, ensuring quality, compliance and installation readiness.

Tasks

-Quality control the product on your project(s) - whether drawn by you or another BIM resource. -Clearly communicates the agreed upon plan of attack to any internal BIM/VDC team members and/or outsourcers that will be assisting you. -Works with QA/QC team and BIM/VDC Manager to find routing efficiencies that maximize BIM's value on your project(s). -Ensure that you and any other BIM/VDC team members assisting you on your project(s) adhere to team processes for consistency. Additionally, ensuring our trade partners adhere to our processes as well per our policy and contract. -Works with BIM/VDC Manager, Project Management, and Field Leadership to read and understand specifications and contract documents and to establish a plan of attack on your project(s) within the framework of your BIM budget.

What You Bring

-Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently -Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. -Strong working knowledge of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules -Master the BIM/VDC processes including clash detection and embedded data and polish your technical communication skills as an industry leader in coordination and collaboration. -Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials. -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. -Multiple years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry -Familiarity with Microsoft Office -Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills -Use your knowledge of electrical as well as mechanical and plumbing systems, your ability to read and interpret code, and your understanding of best practices in the creation of annotated installation and layout drawings. -Capable of standing and walking for extended periods. -Strives for proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, Bluebeam and other BIM software. -Strong working knowledge of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings). -Proficiency in 3D modeling using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks -Ability to assist with all phases of a project from schematic design through construction documents. -Successful candidates will also possess outstanding communication and time management skills, willingness to relocate, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
