Tasks

-Managing all commercial activities, including cost, value, margin, risk, and cashflow, and overseeing major contract and subcontractor accounts. -Leading and developing the commercial function, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement, including LEAN and digital innovation. -Construction: Delivering safe, efficient, data-driven infrastructure on time and on budget. -Leading commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, and providing expert support for contract and board reviews. -Managing commercial resources, including recruitment, deployment, and professional development. -Supporting bid preparation and enabling innovation across contracts to secure competitive advantage.

What You Bring

-Proven experience managing commercial performance in complex, major project environments. -Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field, supported by professional membership (e.g. RICS, ICES, CIOB) and appropriate industry certification (such as a CSCS card or equivalent). -Strong strategic, financial, and business acumen, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively. -Expertise in negotiating complex contracts and identifying opportunities while mitigating risks.
