Tasks

-Provide executive leadership to increase contract awareness among project teams and promote a contract management culture to reduce risk in projects -Perform annual budgeting, monthly forecasting & cost control, cash flow reconciliation, and deviation analysis. Ensure accuracy of project books and records in SAP -Oversee the bid preparation and approval process (Limits of Authority), review, evaluate and negotiate contractual terms with support of Legal department, evaluate risks and ensure conformance during project execution -Partner with the Project Manager in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks and opportunities, and developing strategies and response activities to avoid margin slippage -Coordinate procurement efforts to ensure best bids within budget and compliance with customer contracts -Prepare and present commercial topics in internal and external project meetings and escalate critical issues when necessary -Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, subcontractors and vendors -Standardize and enhance contract management practices and tools -Manage customer requirements and stakeholder expectations with the Project Manager -Partner with the Project Manager to manage financial results, focusing on project gross profit, cash flow and minimizing non-conformance costs -Encourage team accountability, foster team collaboration and conduct lessons-learned reviews for continuous improvement -Manage financial guarantees / bonds and insurance requirements -Ensure timely invoicing, actively managing receivables, and maximize cash flow -Ensure compliance with standards, rules, and regulations, fostering a culture of trust and integrity (e.g. financial reporting guidelines acc. to IFRS and US GAAP, tax regulations, business conduct, signature rights, export control, EHS, ICFR/RIC etc.) -Secure project target by enforcing stringent contract and claim management -Contribute to the development of training, templates, and best practices for contract management -Support Project Management teams in disputed matters with customers, subcontractors and vendors, such as scope disputes, change orders, claims for additional compensation, schedule changes, and warranty issues

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. -Experience in contract negotiations, dispute resolution and conflict management -Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business and/or Law or related field -Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances. -Required travel: 10-20% -Empower yourself as commercial project entrepreneur during the project execution phase from order intake, through design, delivery, installation and commissioning to warranty phase -CPM@Siemens certificate -Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. -Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business and/or Law or related field -Resilience in managing complex projects and overcoming challenges -Experience: 4+ years of work experience in commercial project controlling/management in construction projects -Strong knowledge of contract law, project change control and risk mitigation
