Tasks

-Resolve complex technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. -Foster strong relationships to support future project opportunities. -Act as a key technical liaison with clients and project partners. -Be part of delivering globally significant, sustainable infrastructure projects. -Ensure compliance with mechanical design intent, technical specifications, and project milestones. -Influence strategic planning and long-term asset performance. -Present designs and cost estimates to stakeholders. -Oversee vendor engagement, RFQ processes, and equipment selection. -Work closely with procurement teams to define mechanical scopes and technical requirements. -Prepare technical calculations, procurement specifications, and digital design documentation. -Present mechanical solutions and lead discussions to ensure stakeholder confidence. -Actively participate in the mechanical design, implementation, and commissioning of major water infrastructure projects. -Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery. -Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs for desalination and water treatment projects. -Provide technical oversight during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

What You Bring

-Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required. -Proven experience with procurement processes and vendor coordination. -Experience with digital engineering platforms (e.g., BIM) is highly regarded. -Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment selection, and installation practices. -Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. -Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical project delivery or technical tendering. -Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines. -Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and delivery for water treatment projects. -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial process, or a related engineering discipline.
