The Role
Overview
Execute and improve mechanical/electrical assembly processes, tooling & training.

Tasks
-Follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor Works with Quality and Operations for problem solving initiatives; -Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management; -Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with PR safety policies; -Create and maintain BOMS and routings. -Use precision gauges and instruments such as micrometers to determine and follow customers specifications; -Troubleshoot processes issues and perform routine and minor maintenance. Submit work orders for the maintenance requirements; -Document assembly processes and perform the tasks needed and monitor work to ensure compliance. This is to include defining and piloting technical assembly processes that include creating; work instructions and selecting proper tooling -Support multiple assembly areas simultaneously as assigned; -Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specification and tooling instructions; -Train others on the proper assembly processes in a safe and efficient manner; -Create and maintains job aids & work instructions; -Maintain specifications and adjust as needed by observing and performing assembly operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming tooling controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance;

-Strong organizational skills; -Experience in test specification reading and interpretation; -Ability to comfortably present to team members and other area leaders; -Willingness to work overtime and flexible work schedule; -Proficient in reading and interpreting schematic drawings for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; -Motion – Position requires standing majority of the day. Frequent walking, squatting, kneeling and climbing of steps and stairs; -Demonstrated ability to learn new applications/systems; -Basic skills of 2D AutoCAD layouts. -Strong knowledge of PC/data entry; -Vision/Hearing Requirements – Position is exposed to high levels of noise and vibration from using tools. Position is exposed to cutting torches and welding operations. The use of proper PPE is required. The Position requires the ability to read QWI and schematics and understand instructions; -Strong interpersonal / communication / prioritization skills; -Proficient in troubleshooting machinery startup, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems; -5+ Years of Technical Assembly experience or Technical Degree; -Proficient in print reading with basic GD&T understanding; -Experience training employees; -Intermediate level skills of Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint). -Strength – Position requires lifting of 35lbs. Requires stamina and strength to work in tight and confined spaces while installing or repair machinery and components; -Basic understanding of BOM and routing structure;
