Tasks
-Conduct project and contract management of environmental projects, including managing resources (personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and budgets), complying with scopes of work, developing and managing project schedules and performance, performing financial management such as preparing invoices, monthly/periodic status reports, and preparing cost estimates for environmental projects. -Conduct and oversee field activities including sampling, drilling oversight, remediation system installation, and subcontractor management. -Plan, manage, and execute environmental projects involving site assessments, investigations, remediation, long-term monitoring/management, and compliance activities under IRP, MMRP, CERCLA, RCRA, and NEPA. -Support business development initiatives for the environmental business line. Contribute to business development by assisting with proposals, cost estimates, and client engagement. -Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and delivery of high-quality work. -Support and mentor junior staff by providing technical guidance and promoting knowledge-sharing across project teams. -Coordinate with regulatory agencies and DoD representatives to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. -Prepare high-quality technical reports, environmental planning documents (EAs, EISs, SAPs, QAPPs, EHMPs, LUCIPs), work plans, and health and safety plans.

What You Bring
-A strong foundation in environmental regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, and NEPA, along with experience in the DoD’s Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), including the Installation Restoration Program (IRP) and the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), is highly desired. -Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. -Candidates must possess, or be able to obtain, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher training. -Capable of writing comprehensive reports and plans, and comfortable leading efforts that require interdisciplinary coordination. -Technical expertise in sampling techniques, field equipment use, and preparation of technical deliverables. -Strong organizational and communication skills with the capacity for leadership in field-based environmental work and project management. -Experience with field operations, subcontractor oversight, technical reporting, and business development in environmental projects is strongly preferred. -Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. -A minimum of three years of professional experience in environmental consulting, site investigation, or remediation project work is expected. -Professional certifications such as Registered or Professional Geologist (RG/PG), Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Professional Engineer (PE), or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) are highly desirable. -Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. -Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to think critically in dynamic field and project environments. -A bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required. -Travel up to 20–25% is required; occasional weekend or holiday work may be necessary to meet project needs. -Familiarity with federal environmental projects, particularly those involving military installations or munitions response, is advantageous. -Project management credentials, such as a PMP certification, are considered a plus and reflect a candidate’s readiness to lead complex projects.
