Tasks

The role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the entire analytical value chain, from initial exploration and strategic guidance to scalable implementation and on-the-ground impact. The Senior Analyst will develop and champion the foundational analytical framework for the organization, serving as a pivotal builder of our centralized analytics function. You will act as the primary analyst for cross-functional questions, providing rapid, insightful analysis to guide strategic decision-making and enable a truly data-driven approach to business challenges. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of analytics at a global FTSE 250 company, creating the systems and processes that will deliver long-term value. -Develop and implement a centralized suite of analytical tools, models, and dashboards to empower a team of performance managers with data-driven insights. -The Analytics Operations Team: This team formalizes and automates established analytical processes, ensuring the long-term stability and scalability of the tools and algorithms you help to develop. -Conduct rapid, high impact data analysis on complex business questions, translating C-suite and senior leadership inquiries into clear analytical hypotheses and delivering initial insights. -Manage and enhance a portfolio of key analytical tools, which are used to generate critical data such as KPIs, benchmarks, and targets for use across various business functions. -Lead the initial exploratory analysis for AI modelling projects, identifying key features and business mechanics to strategically guide Data Scientists and inform the development of robust machine learning solutions. -Partner with data scientists and specialist functions to transform initial analyses into robust, automated reports and tools for business-wide adoption.

What You Bring

Technical Abilities -Resilience & Adaptability: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are comfortable with a certain degree of ambiguity. You can pivot quickly between high-level strategic tasks and detailed, hands-on work. -Experienced in developing comprehensive toolkits and dashboards using advanced Excel formulas and Power BI for data analysis and reporting. -Intellectual Humility: The ability to provide an initial, rapid analysis with the understanding that more detailed investigation may be needed. -Business Acumen: A deep curiosity and understanding of business drivers, financial models, and operational processes. -Microsoft 365: Advanced user, especially Excel, and ideally with use of Power Query -PowerBI: Building reports essential, ideally with knowledge and use of DAX -Communication & Storytelling: The ability to translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives. -Proactive & Strategic Mindset: You're a self-starter who doesn't wait for questions. You're able to anticipate business needs, and identify analytical opportunities.
