Tasks

-Support business initiatives with indirect tax guidance and risk assessments. -Drive and implement strategies to optimize indirect tax operations in a fast-paced environment. -Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure team members reach their full potential. -Drive integration and optimization of Vertex and ERP systems to enhance tax determination and reporting. -Partner with procurement and source-to-pay process owners to operationalize indirect tax requirements that ensure proper tax treatment of purchase activities. -Lead indirect tax compliance and operations for U.S. sales and use tax, telecommunications tax, gross receipts tax, and global GST regimes. -Lead audit defense and manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities. -Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Procurement to ensure tax automation and accuracy across systems and processes. Refine indirect tax internal controls and maintain SOX compliance.

What You Bring

-Experience with indirect tax software (preferably Vertex), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and other tax technology platforms. -Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others. -Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-national, indirect tax projects. -Experience designing and maintaining internal controls preferred. -Deep expertise in US sales and use taxes; telecommunicates taxes compliance experience a plus. -Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred. -10+ years of progressive experience with indirect tax compliance and operations. -Proven success in leading global teams in high-growth SaaS or technology environments.
