The Role

Lead design and delivery of marine structures, mentor engineers and ensure quality.

Tasks

-Mentoring and supervising Assistant Engineers/ Design Engineers and provide inputs to Team Lead/Project Manager/Technical Manager for the continued development of the staff in the team -Coordination with the project manager and design team for project planning/preparation of work schedules and work breakdown structure. -Should take initiatives to develop Assistant Engineers / Design engineers and improve the quality of delivery of the team as a whole. -Design of fender elements -Overseeing and troubleshooting the work of Marine structures design, guide Assistant Engineers / Design Engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings and BIM models. -Undertaking technical due diligence and maintaining quality of deliverables. -Carrying out the design and review the work of Engineers and CAD technicians/modelers in the project team.

What You Bring

-Experience in design of steel and/or concrete piles is essential, preferable piled structures in water. -Experience in at least two International/European Projects is essential. -Professional English language skills (written and verbal) are essential. -Experience in design of sheet piling is preferred, preferable in marine conditions. -Experience in carrying out detailed design of marine structures taking into account soil structure interaction aspects is essential. -Experience in preparation of design reports and specifications pertaining to Marine structures is preferred. -BE/B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute is essential. ME/ M. Tech in Marine/Structural Engineering is preferred. -Wave and current load estimations on quays and jetties -Should have more than 5 years of experience in marine structures design. Hands-on experience working with Eurocodes/other international codes is essential. -Have hands on experience in using FE design software is prerequisite, preferably FEM Design or SOFiSTiK. -Experience in marine specific design problems is given preference, comprising one or more of the following: -Experience in Steel and Concrete Design as per Eurocode is essential, preferably using Swedish / Scandinavian national annexes.
