The Role
Overview
Coordinate and manage equipment maintenance, readiness, and cost for construction projects.

Tasks
-Controlling and tracking all aspects of equipment cost. -Regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen -Occasionally lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds. -Accountable for the retention and engagement of direct and indirect reports. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Ensure project safety and quality performance through personal example as well as supervision activities. -Accountable for the training, development, coaching and morale of direct and indirect reports. -Accountable for developing and maintaining team cohesion among district, internal joint venture, and external joint venture partner employees. -Providing senior management with equipment recap reports. -Coordinate work with other co-workers on the job. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Work within Company data systems to record and track equipment maintenance and utilization. -Provide field leadership and management of equipment maintenance and readiness to meet specific project needs.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of construction safety and current federal and provincial requirements. -Demonstrated knowledge of Basic computer skills. -Regular, reliable attendance -Broad knowledge of engineering and construction methods. -Must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical related field. -Exhibits integrity & ethical behavior in all things; understands Kiewit ethics policy of knowing and acting within policies and practices. -Must possess strong organizational and time management skills. -Fast-paced office and project field environment -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar type experience in a construction related position that provides the knowledge and experience required for this position. -Willingness, ability, and enthusiasm for travel, sometimes on short notice. -You will be required to travel 95% of the time in this role. -Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
