Overview

Oversees scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance and coordinates availability.

Tasks

-Supervise, mentor, and support crew chiefs and planners in prioritizing maintenance tasks, distinguishing between urgent needs and those that can be deferred based on operational demands. -Manage maintenance subcontractors and oversee related logistics, including booking travel and accommodations. -Ensure the web-based maintenance communication tool is accurate, current, and regularly updated for all aircraft. -Oversee and manage all scheduled maintenance activities and coordinate recovery efforts for unscheduled or abnormal maintenance events. -Monitor aircraft operating under an MEL, providing recommendations to return them to full service as quickly as possible.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with maintenance tracking software. -This resident position is based out of either Edmonton, AB or Yellowknife, NT -Prior maintenance control experience is an asset. -Previous experience as an AME or Crew Chief (or equivalent role) is required. -Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance operations, with experience at the operational or management level preferred. -Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. -Minimum of 5 years of related experience in aviation maintenance. -Strong computer skills with the ability to use a variety of systems and tools effectively.
