Tasks

-Job Costing & Project Accounting: Track and analyze costs for ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and contracts. -Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other departments to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy. -Financial Statements: Analyze variances in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. -General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate records, post journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP. -Accounts Receivable: Assist in the A/R billing process, ensuring accurate invoices. -Bank Reconciliations: Verify all transactions on bank statements. -Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and financial reporting standards.

What You Bring

Preference will be given to residents of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We are seeking a Staff Accountant with a strong background in construction or AEC accounting to join our finance team. This role will report directly to the Sr. Controller and play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting business decisions. -Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. -Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. -Software Proficiency: Experience with Deltek products, specifically VantagePoint, is a plus but not required; will train the right individual. Advanced Excel skills are a plus. -Knowledge: Strong understanding of job costing, financial reporting, and accounting principles. Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation is a plus. -Experience: Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the AEC, construction, or engineering industry. -Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments. -Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
