Tasks

-Maintain standards for traffic work, keeping up with regulatory and industry changes. -Interface with state and local DOTs, traffic reviewers, and municipalities; present findings in public meetings. -Evaluate and integrate new tools and workflows into traffic practice. -Lead and oversee traffic engineering deliverables including studies, intersection analyses, signal design/timing, safety analyses, and MOT/TMP plans. -Mentor junior traffic engineers and establish training and technical standards. -Review modeling and analysis (Synchro, VISSIM, Vistro, etc.) to ensure accuracy and sound assumptions. -Lead business development: scope, price, and secure traffic-related projects.

What You Bring

-PTOE or similar traffic-specific credential. -Proficiency in traffic modeling and analysis tools, signal design, safety and capacity calculations. -Demonstrated client relationship and public presentation skills. -Proven leadership and mentorship experience. -15–20 years of traffic engineering experience across studies, design, and agency/public interaction. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; transportation/traffic specialization preferred. -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
