Tasks

-Analyze plumbing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates -Participate in RFI development, VE discussions, and bid-day strategy meetings -Identify cost-saving alternatives without sacrificing design intent or code compliance -Stay current on local plumbing codes, permitting timelines, and market pricing trends -Coordinate with project managers, MEP engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment in pricing and logistics -Perform quantity take-offs and scope reviews using tools like Bluebeam, FastEst, or Procore etc. -Work on signature South Florida projects with some of the region’s top GCs and architects

What You Bring

-Deep familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting processes -Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., FastEst, Procore, QuickBid, Bluebeam) -Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail -Technically minded, yet practical in pricing and coordination -10+ years of plumbing estimating experience in luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, or institutional construction -Calm under pressure and deadline-oriented -Able to visit job sites as needed for verifications and scope clarifications -Proven ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and spec books -Field experience in plumbing or mechanical trades required. -Clear communicator—able to collaborate across disciplines
