The Role

Overview

Clean and maintain hotel public areas, assist guests and staff, and uphold safety standards.

Tasks

-Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays -Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects as needed -Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person -Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed -Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms -Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets -Deliver items to guest rooms when requested -Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards -Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests -Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate  -Greet guests in a friendly manner -Assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed -Follow a daily schedule of cleaning all areas -Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc. -Report maintenance deficiencies

What You Bring

-Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder -Able to report to scheduled shifts -Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures -Must be able to write -Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far -Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours -Have finger dexterity for operating equipment -Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds -Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds -Able to work for 8 hours in a restrictive space/environment -Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English -Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person -Is organized, honest, and works well with others -Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold and stress
