Tasks

-Oversee project management tasks including concept clarification, customer engagement, documentation, and simulation support. -Lead and develop a team of HVDC control and protection engineers, managing resource planning, performance, and training across global projects. -Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, risk management protocols, and company policies, while minimizing rework through NCR system oversight. -Support continuous improvement through mentoring, training matrix management, and standardization of engineering processes and tools. -Contribute as a technical specialist in control engineering design, software development, simulation model validation, and customer training. -Define and coordinate control and protection concepts for HVDC systems, collaborating with technical teams on innovative solutions and ensuring technical compliance.

What You Bring

-Proven expertise in control engineering and modelling of HVDC systems in both time and frequency domains. -Degree in electrical power or control engineering, ideally complemented by a relevant MSc or PhD, with experience in the power engineering industry. -Strong knowledge of high-voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics, and HVDC technology. -Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills are an advantage. -Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective customer engagement. -Proficient in power system simulation tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB/Simulink, and EMTP-RV.
